James Kan has been named one of the Daily Journal’s Top Labor & Employment Lawyers of 2026. The annual Top Labor & Employment Lawyers list celebrates “attorneys specializing in litigation, PAGA matters, unlawful terminations and workplace investigations.”
The Daily Journal recognized James Kan for his representation of workers demanding fair compensation and working conditions free from discrimination. His profile in Daily Journal highlights his successful litigation in Rasmussen v. The Walt Disney Company, a sex discrimination class action on behalf of women who worked for Disney resulting in a $43.25 million settlement. James was also recognized for his role as co-lead trial counsel in a California PAGA representative action on behalf of thousands of Oracle sales employees, resulting in a $15.5 million settlement.
