City of Oakland agrees to “historic investment” over 25 years to ensure equal access to Oakland’s pedestrian right of way in response to DHKL lawsuit.

DHKL, with our co-counsel Disability Rights Advocates, Schneider Wallace Cottrell Kim, and Peiffer Wolf Carr Kane Conway & Wise, are pleased to announce that the City of Oakland has agreed to a 25-year settlement to ensure that people with mobility disabilities have equal access to Oakland’s pedestrian right of way. DHKL has a long history of fighting for disability rights, and we are proud to have played a part in making sure our beloved city is fully accessible to all its residents and visitors.
