Plaintiff alleges that she and other “Taskers” were misclassified as independent contractors while working for Scale AI, completing “tasks” to create data that Scale AI then sells to other companies to train generative AI. Plaintiff also alleges wage and hour violations for work she and others performed while they were classified as hourly and salaried employees for Scale AI and HireArt. DHKL, with counsel in other related cases, have settled their cases together and this case is stayed pending the settlement approval process in San Francisco Superior Court.
